I'll have ShmooSimon, rehacked into FooSimon on display. It would be great if some of you could come out and hang out with me and spread the DC401 goodness. Cover for FooFest is only $5. For that, you get to see 22 bands. http://as220.org/foofest /ducksauz From john at duksta.org Tue Aug 18 07:21:36 2009 From: john at duksta.org (John Duksta) Date: Tue, 18 Aug 2009 07:21:36 -0400 Subject: [dc401-l] September Meeting - Making Prototype PCBs with a Milling Machine Message-ID: <4A8A8EC0.5010205@duksta.org> For the September Meeting, yours truly will be giving a presentation and demo of creating prototype printed circuit boards using the Roland Modela milling machine available for use at AS220 Labs. Sometimes you've got an idea for an electronics project and want to knock out a prototype board right away. There are a couple of different methods available to the homebrew board maker. One of those is using a milling machine to shave away the copper on a board where you don't want contacts. I'll give a short presentation on how this process works followed by a demo of creating an actual PCB for a project I'm working on with entr0py.
