announcements: August 2009 Archives

For the September Meeting, yours truly will be giving a presentation and demo of creating prototype printed circuit boards using the Roland Modela milling machine available for use at AS220 Labs.

Sometimes you've got an idea for an electronics project and want to knock out a prototype board right away. There are a couple of different methods available to the homebrew board maker. One of those is using a milling machine to shave away the copper on a board where you don't want contacts. I'll give a short presentation on how this process works followed by a demo of creating an actual PCB for a project I'm working on with entr0py.
